Ghwendolyn "Kayote" Wolfrose

My nom de internet is Ghwendolyn "Kayote" Wolfrose. I've been walking a pagan path of some form for 22 years now. A few years ago I set my foot on the path of Draig Sidhe with my husband. While I am no longer an active practioner, I am a 3° Priestess of the Wica. Most call me Gwen, some call me Kayote, a few call me Wolfrose, and my craft name isn't available to anyone on the internet. ;-)

I'm a mutt. I'm an Irish-Mexican. Mom is of Irish decent and Dad is Mexican. My skin is light as my mother is really pale and my dad has on more than one occasion threatened to paint me brown. I do get a nice tan though... when I choose to.

My hair is naturally dark ~~but I dye it an unnatural red with black on the underneath~~ (currently it's black again for a while). I have weird eye coloring, they have a dark blue ring on the outside of the iris and go to a light brown near the pupil.

I'm also pierced and tattooed. I LOVE motorcycles and the biker way of life. Both my parents are responsible for this, my dad still rides a Harley. It's in my blood. *grin*

I have three half-sisters from my father, my mother had no other children but we lived with my grandmother so I was raised with two of my uncles as if they were my brothers and I refer to them as such. Mostly when I say "my brother" I am in reference to the youngest as the elder crossed over January 24, 1999.

I am married to a wonderful man who treats me like the goddess I am. We have five children, one daughter in-law, two grandsons, and three dogs. My life is full of love.

I have type 2 diabetes, I've also been diagnosed with chronic depression, residual add, and fibromyalgia. At 29 I had a full hysterectomy due to polysystic ovaries and endometriosis. I'm jaded and cynical on that front but I try to not let it get me down as I have so many other wonderful things going on in my life that I am generally a happy friendly person... unless you piss me off. *wink*

I come from a military family. My grandfather was career army, he joined up with several of my grandmother's cousins who were following in the footsteps of their father who served aboard the USS Texas in WWII. My dad served in the army along with his best friend, my uncle. My husband served for over 20 years in the Navy and now our oldest son is in the Army serving his second tour of duty in Iraq.

I am an artist and an author to top it off... and yes as a matter of fact I am the Gwen Wolfrose who co-authored The Charge of the Beeotch which was published in Issue 27 of The Beltane Papers. *grin*
